Your Resilience Assessment

Your results are in. Here's what they mean.

Each score band carries a different set of implications. Find yours below, or take the Sentinel Resilience Assessment to see your score.

Critical0–19

Your assessment identified severe vulnerabilities across multiple pillars. This score range typically means that a single disruptive event — medical, financial, security, or otherwise — would find you without the structures or resources to respond effectively. This is not a judgment. It is a starting point. The clients who improve most dramatically are often the ones who started here.

At Risk20–39

You have taken some steps but meaningful gaps remain. A disruption would expose vulnerabilities quickly — particularly in the areas where you scored lowest. The encouraging reality is that most of what is missing is straightforward to address once it is identified and sequenced correctly.

Developing40–59

You have foundations in place and you have clearly thought about some of these areas. The risk at this level is unevenness — strong in the areas you have focused on, underdeveloped everywhere else. One specific gap you have not addressed yet is typically the one that matters most.

Prepared60–79

Your score reflects genuine effort and real structures across multiple areas. At this level the remaining risks are typically less obvious — the gap that sits between disciplines, or the plan that has never been tested. People who score here often get the most value from an advisory engagement because they are ready to go from good to genuinely resilient.

Resilient80–100

Your preparedness is exceptional. Scores at this level reflect real work — legal structures, operational plans, trained family members, and active monitoring. The risk at this stage is complacency and drift. Plans go stale. Circumstances change. The people who stay resilient treat preparedness as ongoing, not accomplished.

The Conversation

What happens on a strategy call.

In 60 minutes, the results are reviewed together — not as a summary but as a conversation. Questions the questionnaire could not ask are explored: what brought you here, what your family knows, what has been tested and what only exists on paper.

By the end of the call you will have your three most important priorities named clearly, an honest assessment of which tier of engagement makes sense for you, and a sense of whether this is a fit. There is no sales pressure. If the right answer is to start with the free resources, that will be the recommendation.

The fee is credited in full toward any engagement begun within 90 days. If you move forward, it costs nothing extra. If you do not, you have a clear picture of your risks and a written summary of your three priorities.

Common Patterns

What the assessment typically surfaces.

Clients in the Critical and At Risk bands almost always find that the gaps are more interconnected than they appeared on the assessment. A low communications score and a low family protocols score are rarely independent problems — they are the same coordination gap showing up in two places.

Clients in the Developing band typically discover that the work they have done is solid but that one or two areas they have not focused on are disproportionately important. The 70% that is covered creates a false sense of completeness about the 30% that is not.

Clients in the Prepared and Resilient bands most often find value in having someone verify the things they assume are in place. Documents that were never executed. Plans that were made but not tested. Referrals to specialists in areas where the current advisor does not have depth.

Risk Costs

What unaddressed gaps typically cost

These are cost categories we see in practice, described qualitatively. No specific figures or outcomes are implied.

Insurance coverage alignment

Coverage is most effective when it has been reviewed against your actual circumstances and the rest of your plan. Many established families have never had their coverage examined alongside their estate, assets, and operational exposure to confirm it all fits together.

Coverage reviewed in isolation may not reflect your full picture. A whole-view review confirms it does.

Estate plan currency

An estate plan that has not been reviewed in seven or more years — or that was not updated after a major life event — can trigger a probate process with substantial legal fees, taking months to resolve and creating family conflict at the worst possible moment.

Probate costs and delays that a current plan substantially reduces.

Security incidents

A home that has never been professionally assessed is a home whose vulnerabilities are unknown. A single security incident — theft, intrusion, or targeted threat — carries financial, physical, and psychological costs that extend far beyond the immediate event.

Financial loss, liability exposure, and psychological impact that a hardened home reduces significantly.

Medical access delays

Without a concierge physician relationship or guaranteed medical access, a serious health event during a disruption — or simply during a busy period — can result in delayed diagnosis, emergency care costs, and outcomes that a prepared household would have avoided.

Emergency care costs and delayed treatment outcomes that preparedness directly reduces.

Family coordination failures

The most common and most preventable cost in a family emergency is the absence of a tested plan. Families who have never practiced their protocols make decisions under maximum stress with incomplete information — decisions that prepared families made in advance at no cost.

Decisions made under crisis conditions that a practiced plan would have made in advance.

A Sentinel Resilience engagement identifies which of these cost categories apply to your specific situation — and gives you a prioritized path to addressing them before they become events.
